Ronia & Brian's Timeless Wedding Day | St. Joseph Cathedral & Curtiss Hotel Rooftop | Buffalo NY
You can't find a sweeter couple than Ronia & Brian! Based in Chicago IL they decided to bring their family and friends to Buffalo, Brian's hometown, to celebrate their love and finally say "I do". It was a spectacular wedding weekend... I wasn't at all surprised to find that their loved ones were equally as sweet and fun as the two of them.
Bringing all of their family and friends to Buffalo meant it was important to choose locations that would really show off the queen city and all it has to offer - from the epic St. Joseph's Cathedral located in the heart of downtown to the rooftop of the Curtiss Hotel, which offered a stunning view of the city skyline and a very unique reception venue.
They didn't stop there though, they kept the iconic Buffalo spots a theme when choosing locations for their bride and groom portraits as well. We visited Delaware Park, the Richardson Complex and Main Street in downtown Buffalo and spent hours getting amazing photos of the couple.
Ronia & her family own a bridal shop near Chicago so you better believe she had not one, but TWO, stunning gowns for her wedding day. Couple that with the thoughtfully chosen accessories and beautiful backdrop of the Curtiss Hotel, these getting ready photos are nothing short of magical!
The ceremony was held at St. Joseph's Cathedral. It's an iconic downtown Buffalo church exuding grandiosity and character. Of course there wasn't a dry eye in the pews as Ronia & Brian committed to spending their lives to taking care of one another, continuing to make each other smile and being the other person's "person".
Of course we had to take some portraits in this stunning cathedral before heading out on the town to get photos at some classic Buffalo spots. Since Ronia & Brian didn't have an official bridal party, they were able to enjoy some alone time in their limo and time soaking in all those "just married" feels as we hopped from location to location taking photos and making memories of their perfect day.
First stop on our Buffalo photo tour: Hoyt Lake at Delaware Park! Since Ronia & Brian didn't have a formal wedding party, they got to enjoy alone time in their limo as well as during our photo shoot. They cuddled, smooched, twirled and soaked in all of those just married feelings!
After Delaware Park, we hopped across the street to the Richardson Complex... one of my favorite backdrops in all of Buffalo! And the perfect location for this king and queen to get some castle-y portraits both on the grounds and inside this architecturally stunning building.
Last stop, Main Street in downtown Buffalo where we not only took photos, but took a nice stroll through the city right to their reception venue - The Curtiss Hotel!
Before guests arrived, Ronia & Brian had a chance to look at their venue all set up and designed by the one and only Erin McDonald. Needless to say, the couple was ecstatic to see their vision come to life atop one of Buffalo's downtown hotels.
If you're looking for a venue that really shows off our Queen City, the VUE Rooftop Lounge at the Curtiss Hotel is certainly it! I mean, check out these views!! And they only get better as the sun sets and the night lights kick on.
Uptown Groove had the dance floor packed all night. I loved the fact that when I left the reception and headed down to my car, I could still hear the party going half a block away! What a celebration!
Congratulations Ronia and Brian! Thank you for sharing your sweet love story with me and for bringing one helluva party to downtown Buffalo :)
