Nicky & Rob - Married at Hotel @ The Lafayette | Buffalo NY
I don’t like to play favorites, but when a couple asks if it’s ok that they rent a limo for 3 hours to do a first look and then take photos all over Buffalo before their ceremony, I can’t help but instantly adore them ♥️
Our day looked a little something like this: Nicky & Rob got ready in their gorgeous rooms in the Hotel at the Lafayette, followed by a first look in the lobby with bride Nicky stepping out of the elevator for her reveal (loved this!), then we hopped in a limo with all of their immediate family and visited
Wilkinson Pointe
City Hall
the "Greetings from Buffalo" mural downtown
Niagara Distilling pulled Nicky and Rob inside for some complimentary shots and bottles to enjoy in the limo! (sadly, they were the final 'patrons' of the bar as Niagara Distilling had just closed down their business for good)
Shea's and the Theatre District
Delaware Park's Hoyt Lake and Albright Knox Art Gallery
....I'm pretty sure this was the correct order 😂 As you can see, it was a jam packed 3 hours! We also spent some time after the ceremony taking photos around Hotel at the Lafayette and the streets of downtown Buffalo. (Future clients be warned: I will love you forever if you just let me take your pretty portraits all day ☺️)
The bride and groom held their ceremony in the hotel's courtyard after some of our portrait adventures. Guests then enjoyed the cocktail hour and reception in the Courtyard Room of the hotel. Nicky and Rob incorporated personal touches into their decor with vintage looking letters spelling "Johnson" and my favorite part - their table numbers displayed via photos of their two adorrrrable pups 🐶
Not only was this my dream timeline, but Nicky, Rob and their whole family were so fun and sweet! The bride and groom were clearly so ecstatic to have their wedding day finally here and they were just soaking in all the love. Between the way those two kept looking at each other and all the pretty places they took me to for photos, I had an awfully hard time narrowing down which images to share in this blog!
Looking back on all of these photos certainly has me so excited for all of my 2019 weddings!! This day was so much fun and (like every wedding) a great reminder of why I love doing what I do 🖤 Photographing people genuinely in love and beyond excited to celebrate that!
