Chelsey + RJ's Finger Lakes Engagement, Geneseo NY

Friends since their high school days, it was only fitting (and super adorable) that Chelsey & RJ chose to take their engagement photos in their hometown of Geneseo NY. Lucky for them RJ's mom has a house overlooking Conesus Lake with a beautiful plot of land - so that's where our adventure began!

When I first met Chelsey for her consultation, I met with her and Ava, RJ's mom, since RJ is in the army. I loved chatting with the two of them - we had an instant connection and I was so excited for the opportunity to be a part of such a big day in both of their lives!

Chelsey had requested a lot of sexy and romantic photos, so I went into their engagement session with a plan in mind... and that's when I met RJ for the first time. I knew right away my plan was going to be hard to execute 🤣 RJ is a goofball (and I mean that in the sweetest way). He's just so full of joy and laughter - it was contagious and there was nothing I could do about it!

Chelsey, I promise we'll try for some more serious and romantic photos on your wedding day 🤦‍♀️ But how could I not keep snapping away when this much love and happiness was happening on the other end of my lens?! These photos genuinely show off the fun, perky personalities of this couple and I'm obsessed with them all 🥰

Wait! This story get better.... first off there was Charlie - their super sweet pup. He was full of all the puppy love and kisses (which made for some hilarious photos) and was a trooper when it came time to put on his Bills gear 🤘

Then, the final hoorah of the shoot, we drove into the town to take a few more photos in the fountain all the high school kids hung out in. RJ even managed to find his old football jersey and letterman's jacket for them both to wear.

Every moment of this shoot was so much fun. I can't wait to witness these two get married this November and get a full day celebrating their love!
